Chivas U-21 defeats Mazatlán and remains unstoppable in the CL26!

Mazatlán.- It was a great morning for the Cantera Rojiblanca in the Pearl of the Pacific, as the U-21 side defeated their Cañoneros counterparts and began to build momentum in the Clausura 2026, while the U-19 team managed to collect a pair of very valuable points for its aspirations in the tournament.

U21

The Chivas U-21 team is finding its best form, as it earned a 0–1 victory over Mazatlán FC and recorded its third straight win in the CL26. Luis Arce’s squad has now accumulated 10 points in the tournament, allowing them to climb positions in the standings.

The Rojiblancos took the field at Deportivo Benito Juárez determined to secure all three points, and after creating several chances, they finally broke the deadlock in the 75th minute through Diego Latorre, who found a loose ball at the edge of the box and fired past the goalkeeper to seal the final score.

Meanwhile, Chivas U-19 picked up two points on its visit to the Cañoneros after drawing 1–1 in regulation time and then winning the penalty shootout 2–4, which allowed Benny Ferreyra’s side to reach 8 points in the tournament.

The home team opened the scoring in the 17th minute on a counterattack finished by Bryan Gutiérrez, who beat Vivas one-on-one. However, Guadalajara leveled the score in the 44th minute after a series of rebounds that ended with Jonathan Gallardo sending the ball into the back of the net.
